Your store is set up for Italy
When you choose Italy at sign-up, Omniterra sets your currency to EUR, your time zone to Europe/Rome and your storefront language to Italian. Everything can be changed later.
Taxes
22% VAT is preset, and prices include tax, as shoppers in Italy expect. You can change the rate and the tax display at any time.
Italy is in the EU: business customers can enter a VAT number at checkout, and reverse charge applies to cross-border B2B sales where the rules allow it.
Payments
Cash on delivery is a common way to pay in Italy, so it is switched on by default — with optional COD fees, order limits, regions where it is not offered, a “Refused on delivery” status and COD Guard, which scores every COD order for risk.
Card payments work through your own Stripe or PayPal account where they are available, with card fields, Apple Pay and Google Pay directly in your checkout. Bank transfer is built in, and there is no commission from us on any sale.
Shipping and couriers
Couriers commonly used in Italy are ready in your admin — Poste Italiane, BRT, GLS, SDA, UPS — with tracking links filled in where we know the format. Add your own rates, free-shipping threshold and local carriers.
