Omniterra vs Gomag: how order volume changes the price

Short answer

Gomag is cheaper to start. Its Basic plan costs €7 a month, below our Start plan at €29/month. The difference is in how the price grows. Gomag's pricing page says its prices include an average of 350 orders a month, and each additional step of 350 orders adds €67 a month, applied automatically. Omniterra paid plans have unlimited orders, so the subscription stays flat as order volume grows.

A small store with a few hundred orders a month will often pay less on Gomag. A store with steady volume above 350 orders a month will usually pay less on Omniterra. The examples below put numbers on both cases.

How the order allowance works

According to the Gomag pricing page, each plan includes an average of 350 orders a month. When your average goes above that level, the threshold rises automatically by another 350 orders, and each step adds €67 a month. The page also notes that for large order volumes the value of this step decreases, so very large stores should ask Gomag for a quote.

In practice, this means your platform cost is tied to your order count. That is fair for a growing store, but it is worth planning for. A good month in November, or a successful ad campaign, can raise the average and move you into the next step.

On Omniterra, the Free plan has a soft limit of 50 orders a month: order 51 and later are still accepted, and you are asked to upgrade. Every paid plan, from Start up, has unlimited orders at the same monthly price.

Worked example: three stores

The figures below use Gomag's standard step of €67 per extra 350 orders and leave out card processing and courier fees, which apply on both platforms. On Omniterra, card payments go through your own Stripe account, which charges its own fees.

Store 1: 200 orders a month

With 200 orders and 150 products, Gomag Basic at €7 a month covers it. On Omniterra, 200 orders is above the Free plan's 50, so this store needs Start at €29/month. Gomag is cheaper here, and that is worth saying plainly.

Store 2: 600 orders a month

This store has 800 products, so on Gomag it needs Advanced (up to 2,000 products) at €37. With 600 orders, the average is above 350, so one extra step of €67 applies, for €104 a month. On Omniterra, 800 products fit in Start, which has unlimited orders, at €29/month.

Store 3: 1,000 orders a month

With 5,000 products, Gomag Elite (up to 10,000 products) is the right plan at €97. At 1,000 orders a month, the threshold moves from 350 to 700 and then to 1,050, so two steps apply: €134. The total is €231 a month, or €2,772 a year. On Omniterra, Grow covers 5,000 products and unlimited orders at €79/month.

Product limits compared

Product limits are where Gomag can come out ahead. Its Advanced plan allows 2,000 products at €37 a month, while our Start plan allows 1,000. A store with 1,500 products and fewer than 350 orders a month would pay €37 on Gomag and €79/month on Omniterra, because it would need our Grow plan. At the top end, our Advanced plan at €199/month removes the product limit completely.

Features that matter for Romanian merchants

Both platforms are built with Romanian stores in mind. On Omniterra, you get:

• Cash on delivery with rules: enable or disable it by rule, add a COD fee, and track "refused at delivery" separately. An optional fraud-protection add-on adds a risk score and a phone blacklist.
• Romanian couriers: record the AWB and courier (Sameday, FAN Courier, Cargus, DPD, GLS, Poșta Română) and send a tracking link.
• Invoices with VAT and CUI on B2B orders; e-Factura through an authorized provider such as SmartBill or Oblio, connected by webhooks.
• ANPC SAL link in the footer and default legal pages.

Where Gomag is the better choice

• Lower entry price: €7 a month for Basic, with up to 200 products and an average of 350 orders included.
• More products per euro on mid tiers: 2,000 products on Advanced at €37.
• Long presence in Romania: Gomag is a Romanian platform that has served local merchants for years, so it knows the market well.
• Promotions for new stores: at the time of writing, the pricing page showed a temporary offer for stores starting in September. Check the page for current terms.

If your store has a large catalog and modest order volume, Gomag may cost less. If your orders are growing past 350 a month, the flat price of Omniterra paid plans is easier to budget.

How to switch
